Sabermax Lightsabers One Year Warranty Policy

What This Warranty Covers

This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship in Sabermax lightsaber products purchased directly from Sabermax or authorized dealers.

It applies for one (1) year from the date of purchase (“Warranty Period”).

What’s Not Covered

This warranty does not cover:

Damage from misuse, accidents, drops, or impacts

Normal wear and tear (including scratches, scuffs, cosmetic blemishes)

Water or liquid damage

Unauthorized modifications, disassembly, or repair attempts

Damage resulting from failure to follow care instructions or product guidelines

Batteries and core boards once installed (as these are non-returnable per our Refund Policy)

Consumable parts like blade foils, wraps, or accessories subject to regular use

Products used commercially or for rental purposes


If your saber is customized, personalized, or a special order, warranty coverage applies only to the base product and not to customization work unless explicitly stated otherwise.

What We’ll Do

If a defect arises during the Warranty Period and you follow the steps below, we will, at our option:

Repair the product using new or refurbished parts

Replace the product with the same model or an equivalent model of equal value

Provide a partial or full refund if repair or replacement is not commercially reasonable


Replacement products or parts are covered for the remainder of the original Warranty Period or thirty (30) days, whichever is longer.

How to Make a Warranty Claim

If you believe your saber has a defect covered by this warranty:

1. Stop using the product immediately to prevent further damage.


2. Email us at sabermax@mail.com with:

Order number or proof of purchase

Clear photos or video of the issue

A description of what’s wrong




We’ll evaluate your claim and confirm next steps.

Shipping Costs

If your claim is approved, we’ll cover reasonable shipping costs for warranty repairs or replacements. For international customers, you’re responsible for any applicable customs duties, taxes, or fees when shipping products to us or receiving replacements.

Relationship to Our Refund & Return Policies

This warranty does not extend or replace our 30-day return policy. If your saber is defective or damaged upon arrival, you should initiate a return within 30 days per our Refund Policy.

Warranty claims after the initial 30 days are handled under this Warranty Policy.

Refunds issued under warranty may be subject to the same processing times and fees outlined in our Refund Policy.

Buyer’s remorse, change of mind, or ordering errors are not covered under this warranty.


Legal Stuff

This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary by jurisdiction.

Except as provided in this policy, Sabermax disclaims all other warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

 

Important Notice - Regarding recent order cancellations

Why was my order cancelled?

Certain orders were cancelled due to a payment processor termination following a significant volume of fraudulent chargebacks earlier this month. This disrupted our ability to reliably fulfill and process affected orders.

Given the timing and the proximity to the holidays, we made the decision to cancel impacted unfulfilled orders rather than risk delays or incomplete shipments.

Why can’t you refund my cancelled order?

Your order was originally processed through a payment provider that terminated our account. When this occurred, we permanently lost access to both the funds and the systems required to issue refunds for certain transactions handled by that provider.
Unfortunately, this means we are unable to process refunds directly for some cancelled orders tied to that processor.

Was any store credit issued for cancelled orders?

Yes. As a goodwill gesture, all cancelled orders were issued a $30 Sabermax store credit. This credit was issued separately and is not a refund or a replacement for funds originally paid.
The store credit does not expire and may be used toward future purchases if and when customers choose to do so.

Why are you still accepting new orders if old orders weren’t refunded?

New orders are being processed through a different payment provider that is entirely separate from the terminated processor.

Funds from new orders:

  • are not connected to the previous processor
  • cannot be used to access or recover past transactions
  • do not restore the ability to refund affected past orders

Accepting new orders does not change or resolve the limitations imposed by the terminated processor.

Are new orders safe?

Yes. As of January 12, the majority of January orders have already shipped, with the remaining orders in progress. New orders continue to be fulfilled through our current payment provider.

What options do I have if I haven’t received a refund?

At this time, we’re unable to process refunds directly for affected orders. Customers may wish to contact their card issuer or payment provider to discuss what options may be available to them.

We’re unable to advise further on individual dispute or claim processes.

Why wasn’t this communicated sooner?

As soon as it became clear that the processor termination would prevent fulfillment and refunds for certain orders, we issued cancellation notices and published updates to inform affected customers as quickly as possible.

We understand the short notice has been frustrating and sincerely regret the inconvenience.

Are you shutting down or going out of business?

No. Sabermax continues to operate and is accepting new orders through a different payment provider. However, we are moving forward cautiously and focusing on fulfilling new orders reliably.

Will affected customers ever be refunded in the future?

At this time, we’re unable to commit to future refunds for cancelled orders tied to the terminated processor. If this situation changes, we will update the website accordingly.

Why can’t you respond to individual emails or social media messages?

Due to the volume of inquiries, we’re unable to respond to individual messages at this time. All official updates will be posted on our website, which serves as the primary source of information.
